Nutribullet with sliced fruits inside and fruits on the side, How Long Does The Nutribullet Last?Adding a Nutribullet to your kitchen can be a long-term investment. This compact, durable blender will continue to perform as long as you give it the care it needs. But just how long does it last? We’ve researched the longevity of the Nutribullet to give you the answer.

Nutribullet blenders are guaranteed for 1 year of performance. However, your Nutribullet can last well over 5 years given appropriate use and care.

Keep reading, and we’ll tell you how to properly handle your Nutribullet to keep it blending like new for years to come.

Can The Nutribullet Overheat?

Each of Nutribullet’s personal blenders is equipped with a powerful motor for fast-action blending. Because the spinning extractor blade is so efficient, you need only run the blender for 20-40 seconds. The motor can overheat if it runs for longer.

If you need to blend something for longer than 60 seconds, pause the blender to give the motor a rest, and then resume blending for no longer than 60 seconds at a time. Overheating the motor can permanently damage your Nutribullet. Ensuring that the Nutribullet's motor stays cool is a great way to prolong the life of the blender.

My Nutribullet’s Motor Stopped Working, Now What?

If the motor stops working mid-blend, check to see that jammed food is not preventing the blade from spinning. If the blade can spin freely, it is likely the motor has overheated.

Unplug the base, and allow the Nutribullet at least 1 hour or longer to cool down. An internal thermal breaker in the motor should reset once the base is unplugged.

If the motor still does not work after you plug in and restart the blender, contact Nutribullet customer support for additional instructions.

Do All Nutribullet Blenders Have The Same Motor?

Nutribullet equips every personal blender with a motor powerful enough to handle the maximum capacity cup within seconds. Because cups vary slightly in size and some blenders feature speed settings, the wattage of the motors for personal blenders ranges from 600 to 1,700 watts.

Here is the breakdown of Nutribullet personal blender motor sizes:

  • Nutribullet: 600-watt/24-oz cup.
  • Nutribullet PRO:  900-watt/32-oz. cup.
  • Nutribullet PRO Exclusive: 900-watt/32-oz. cup.
  • Nutribullet PRO 1000: 1000-watt/32-oz. cup.
  • Nutribullet Select: 1000-watt/32-oz. cup.
  • Nutribullet Balance: 1,200-watt/32-oz. cup.
  • Nutribullet Rx: 1,700-watt/45-oz. cup.

Regardless of the motor, you should never have to run your Nutribullet for longer than 60 seconds at a time. Refer to the instruction manual for your Nutribullet for specific recommendations to prevent the motor from overheating.

For sizing down to single-serve portions, either the Magic Bullet or Mini Bullet might be the right blender for you.

  • Magic Bullet: 200-watt/16-oz. cup.
  • Mini Bullet: 250-watt/18-oz. cup.

How Do You Deep Clean A Nutribullet?

It’s easy to give your Nutribullet a deep clean in order to remove stuck-on foods. First, fill the cup with warm water and dish detergent. Let the cup soak for approximately 20-minutes to loosen hardened food.

Then, rinse the blade with warm water, and scrub the cup and blade with a medium-bristled scrub brush. Be careful when scrubbing near the blade because it is sharp. Finally, rinse with warm water and let the cup and blade air dry.

Blend Clean To Skip The Soak

Here is a tip to expedite the soaking process. Fill the cup with warm water and dish detergent. Next, affix the blade to the cup and place it onto the Nutribullet’s base.

Pulse the soapy water in the cup for 5 to 10 seconds at a time. A quick blend will loosen hardened food. Remove from the base, and now you can proceed with a deep clean scrub.

How To Clean The Base

Do not forget the base when cleaning your Nutribullet. Never submerge the base in water. Simply wipe the inside and outside of the base with a dampened sponge or cloth.

For a deep clean, scrub the base using a toothbrush and sudsy water. Wipe excess suds with a cloth and let air dry.

How Often Should You Replace The Blade Of The Nutribullet?

Because the blade can become dull over time, Nutribullet recommends replacing the blade every six months. Replacement blades come pre-assembled with the blade, threaded plastic housing, and gasket.

The blade housing features a deep-seated gasket that prevents liquids from leaking out between the blade and the cup. This gasket can wear over time to become distorted or cracked. The only way to replace the gasket is to replace the blade, so adding a new blade every six-months will ensure that your Nutribullet does not develop a leak.

Nutribullet offers three blade types:

  • Extractor blade: four-pronged for blending, crushing, and purée.
  • Milling blade: two-pronged for grinding.
  • Flat blade: two-pronged for grinding.

How To Maintain The Blade And Gasket

To keep the blade in good working order, you should hand wash the blade after each use. Do not remove the gasket to clean. Gently scrub the blade with gasket intact using a medium-bristled scrub brush with warm soapy water. Be careful because the blade is sharp. Rinse and let air dry.

Do not put the blade in the dishwasher because the high heat can warp the plastic housing and damage the gasket.

For a deep clean, submerge the blade with gasket intact into a solution of either warm water and dish detergent or 1:1 warm water and white vinegar. Allow it to soak for approximately 20 minutes. Scrub clean, then rinse. Let air dry.

Does Nutribullet Have A Lifetime Warranty?

Nutribullet provides customers with a one-year warranty on new blenders. The warranty covers normal wear for domestic use, and it enables the customer to either repair or replace a defective blender. You should use your Nutribullet blender according to the guidelines found in the instruction manual to not void the one-year warranty.

To register your Nutribullet, you will need to provide your name and contact information along with the purchase date and the serial number of your blender. Find the serial number either on the warranty card (included with your new Nutribullet) or on the bottom of the Nutribullet’s base. Complete the warranty registration online by clicking here.
