If you still have questions about cleaning your Nutribullet, don't worry. Just keep reading, and we’ll explain everything you need to know for how to clean your Nutribullet from lid to base.

How Do I Clean My Nutribullet?

Before you clean the Nutribullet, make sure the blender is turned off and unplugged from the outlet. Disassemble from the base, and unscrew the blade from the cup.

Rinsing the Nutribullet immediately after each use is the best way to prevent stuck-on food like nut butter and dried pulp from sticking to the surfaces. Use warm water to rinse the cup, the lid, and the blade. Now the Nutribullet is prepped for a more thorough cleaning.

Dishwasher Safe Cups & Lids

You’ve just learned that the cups, lids, and lip rings of the Nutribullet are dishwasher safe. After rinsing, place these parts on the top rack only. Do not set the dishwasher to a sanitize cycle because high-heat can warp the plastic on Nutribullet cups and accessories.

If you prefer, you can also hand wash the cups, lids, and lip rings. Use a cleaning solution of warm water and dish detergent. A bottle brush is a great tool for scrubbing inside the cup because it can reach the bottom and loosen any stuck-on food. Rinse with warm water and let air dry.

Hand Wash Blades & Base

Using warm water and dish detergent, hand wash the blade with a sponge or medium-bristled scrub brush. Be careful when cleaning near the blade because it is very sharp. Rinse with warm water and let air dry.

To clean the Nutribullet’s base, make sure the power cord has been unplugged. Never submerge the base in water. Use either a soft cloth or sponge to wipe all surfaces of the base by using warm, soapy water.

Deep Clean Cups & Blade

You’ve grabbed your smoothie in Nutribullet’s convenient cup and now you are on the go. The ability to get a quick dose of healthy, wholesome foods is exactly what makes the Nutribullet so popular. But, your empty Nutribullet cup sat unrinsed on your desk all day. So now how do you get it clean?

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill the Nutribullet cup with warm water and dish detergent. Allow it to soak in the solution for approximately 10 minutes.
  2. Attach the extractor blade and fasten the Nutribullet onto the base.
  3. Blend soapy water inside of the cup for approximately 30 seconds.

Blending loosens any stuck-on foods so that afterward you can clean the Nutribullet as you normally would.

Deep Clean Base

Sometimes, drips and spills get left behind on the Nutribullet’s base. Make sure the base is unplugged from the power outlet before you start to clean.

You’ll want to prepare a solution of warm water and dish detergent. Gather your cleaning tools — either a sponge or soft cloth and either a toothbrush or small scrub brush.

To deep clean the base:

  1. Wipe the outside and inside of the base with a damp sponge/cloth.
  2. By dipping the brush into soapy water, use it to scrub the outside and inside of the base. Include the actuators when cleaning the inside of the base by scrubbing in between and gently pressing down with either your finger or the end of the brush as you scrub.
  3. Wipe excess soapy water from the outside and inside of the base with the sponge/cloth.
  4. Let air dry.

Occasionally deep cleaning the Nutribullet’s base keeps it looking like new and ensures that the actuators can work properly.

Can You Wash the Nutribullet Blades?

Nutribullet recommends hand washing blades. A toothbrush can help to scrub hard to reach areas beneath the blade. Use caution, because the blades are sharp. Hand washing will prevent damage to the blade and gasket so that your Nutribullet will remain in tip-top shape for a long time.

How Do You Clean the Rubber Seal on a Nutribullet?

Nutribullet recommends you never remove the rubber seal, or gasket, from the blade housing. The deep-seated gasket forms a tight seal between the blade and the cup in order to prevent leaks.

Loosening or removing the gasket can cause it to stretch and potentially crack. If the gasket fails, it cannot be replaced. Instead, you can purchase replacement blades.

Hand wash the blade with the gasket intact by using warm soapy water and either a sponge or medium-bristled scrub brush. To deep clean, you can soak the blade in either warm soapy water or a 1:1 solution of water and white vinegar.
