Don't Overload The Fridge

Leave Room For Air Circulation

Keep It At The Right Temperature

Keep your refrigerator set to the recommended temperature. Most are set between 35-38 degrees Fahrenheit.

Clean The Freezer

Ice buildup can lower the efficiency of your freezer. Make sure to clean it out every few months. Like the fridge, don't overload the freezer.

Fix Any Problems Right Away

On the other hand, if your fridge is less than 8 years old and you are starting to experience issues, then it may make more sense to get it repaired. The cost of the repair will obviously be a factor in your decision as well.

  1. I do not agree. Samsung refrigerators should be dumped and used like landfill. Bought in 2015, lasted 8 years, bought 5 years extra insurance and compressor died on the 8 th year. Will never buy a Samsung. Not to say the other makes are any better but there is wishful thinking. Nowadays no one takes pride in building a product of quality. You may not want an appliance to last 35 years like they used to but at least make one that last a good 15-20 years. And we are worried about protecting the planet. Yeah Right!
