How to move a dishwasher by yourself?

Using a two-wheeled dolly is the preferred method, with or without straps. Wheel it up to the longest side of the dishwasher, tip the end of the dishwasher forward, and gently slide the tongue of the dolly underneath the dishwasher. When the dishwasher side is flush against the dolly, place your other hand on top of the dishwasher and press down on it while you tip the dolly back. You'll then be able to move the dishwasher on this two-wheeler easily.
Should your dolly have straps, you can affix these firmly around the dishwasher prior to tilting the dolly back. This will make transporting the dishwasher much easier, as it won't be able to shift off of the dolly while you're moving it.

Can you transport a dishwasher in a car?
Transporting a new dishwasher is really easy if you're driving a pickup truck. But what if you're stuck using a car? Considering that the standard size home dishwasher is only 24" wide, 24" deep, and 35" high, it will be a medium-sized cube that needs to be loaded into your vehicle. Larger model cars should have no problem getting this into their trunk, and even the most compact style SUVs will have room in their rear compartments for this size package.
